FREE PATTERN FAVES - IN THE FOLDS PLAYSUIT + BOTANICAL COLORS
Holy smokes, friends! COVID times have got me way off my structured schedule and I completely dropped the ball on my monthly Free Pattern Faves! Since I’ve missed a couple months of FPFs, this one will be a two-fer! This month’s Free Pattern Fave goes out to:
Playsuit by In the Folds (for Peppermint Magazine) + Botanical Colors’ How-To Library
I was caught up in gratefulness for both when I found myself painting the pattern pieces of my playsuit muslin with thickened natural dye. This new wardrobe staple would not be possible without the free gifts that these two sites share with the world!
I warned you once and now it’s coming true. In the Folds is making another appearance in my FPF because I just can’t stop singing their praises. I’ve already got their Peplum Top, Jumpsuit and Wide Leg Pants in my wardrobe-- why not add another friend to the fam! Enter in the Playsuit with a lengthened leg hack. Like all their other patterns, it was easy to understand and just plain fun to put together!
Botanical Colors has been my primary go-to source for natural dye supplies! I know FPFs are originally about free patterns and though the supplies aren’t free per se, their large section of recipes, how-to’s and tips for just about every dye method are. This free shared knowledge empowers me to try new things! What dreamboats! Head to “Botanical Color’s How To’s” menu and get to learning!
I couldn’t be more pleased with how this playsuit turned out! Want to try your hand at painting your own fabric with natural dyes? Head over to this blog post to learn how I painted this playsuit!
