EMBRACE
Dimensions: approximately 43 in x 25 in. Dimensions can be varied upon installation.
Materials: Mixture of reclaimed and American-made wool and cotton yarns, cotton backing.
This work features a saw tooth hanger on the top center of each frame for easy hanging and installation.
Concept:
I’ve been meditating on the concept of change and the act of embracing it. As this year (2020) comes to a close, I reflect over where I was when this year began and where I am at its end. My whole being has experienced quite a few shifts and evolutions— even my artwork is evolving. And I know this change is so, so good.
Embracing change can be so exciting. And a little scary. And deeply humbling. Embracing change admits that you may have been wrong. It admits that you were not fully whole or realized yet. It admits that there is always more.
May we open our arms wide for change and embrace it fully.
