Walls, Study #3

$422.00
sold out

This is a part of my body of work Walls. This collection is inspired by the layers of textures and colors that I see in restored buildings in my local area. Living in a growing city, it’s not hard to find yourself in an older structure that has been remade into some type of drinking or dining spot. I’m fascinated by the potential histories of what each room has held. What purpose each layer of paint, brick, wood or sheetrock served.

This piece is machine tufted and hand-punched, backed with cotton canvas, and includes a 1.5in x 1/4in wooden slat suspended between two tabs to hang.

Materials:
American wool yarn. Cotton canvas backing.

Dimensions:
23.5in L (at its tallest) x 20in W (at its widest)
